ST. CHARLES BED AND BREAKFAST INNS
St. Charles has just scads of great B&Bs. Some are Victorian houses; others date to when St. Charles was first being settled in the 1790s through the 1840s. There's even a log cabin -- beautifully rustic but with every creature comfort.
For convenience, the best choice is probably the Boone's Lick Trail Inn, since it's right on Main Street in the Historic District.
However, if you'd like a room somewhat removed from the madding crowd, you'll find any of the other B&Bs a good choice. Most are only a couple of blocks from the Historic District.
Some innkeepers will rent an entire floor or house to groups of 6 or 8, so if you girls want a pajama party, that's a very cost-effective way to go. Ask the innkeeper when you call. Visit the individual websites for photos, maps, rates, etc.
