When and where is the Writers Cafe Reunion?
Cafe LIVE! 2006 will be held October 13 - 15 in St. Charles, Missouri.
Where is the nearest airport?
The airport closest to St. Charles is Lambert St. Louis International. It's about 10 minutes away.
How do I register to attend?
  1. Fill out the form on the RSVP page of this site (or just email me).

  2. Make your travel and hotel reservations. A block of discounted rooms and suites is reserved for us at The Country Inn & Suites at 1190 South Main (call 636-724-5555 to make a reservation there). Rooms are $84/night + tax; suites are $104/night + tax. Tell the reservationist that you're with the Writers Cafe Reunion to get this discounted rate.

  3. Make your dinner reservations. "Dinner With the Cafe" is planned for Saturday, October 14 at Tony's On Main. Attendance at this dinner is optional, and the total cost is $20 per person. To make a reservation, mail a check for $20 per person in your party to:

    Make checks payable to Margie Summers and write "Cafe Reunion" on the memo line of your check.
Do I have to stay at The Country Inn & Suites?
No. You can stay wherever you like. See the Hotels page or the B&Bs page for more choices.
What are the deadlines for making hotel and dinner reservations?
The deadline for reservations at The Country Inn & Suites is September 15, 2006. If you need to cancel your reservation with them, you may do so any time up until 6 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival.
The deadline for dinner reservations is October 7; however, please mail your check by October 1 to make sure that I receive it on time.
Will I need to rent a car?
You won't need to rent a car if you stay at either The Country Inn & Suites or the Boone's Lick Trail Inn on Main Street. Everything is in walking distance from there. A free trolley runs up and down Main Street as well. The Country Inn & Suites will have an airport shuttle service in place by May, in plenty of time for the Reunion. This hotel also offers Yellow Cab service to and from the airport for $14 each way. To make sure everyone who wants a ride to and from the airport gets one, ERICWRITES, who will be traveling in his van, has offered to drive anyone who needs a ride.
If you prefer to have your own wheels for the trip, then car rental is recommended.
Can I bring my pet?
The Country Inn & Suites allows pets under 20 pounds for an additional $20 fee. Make arrangements with the manager when you make your hotel reservation. If your pet is larger, we recommend Bark Central, a local boarding service.
